The Christman Company recently became North Carolina’s first construction company to be a Certified Family Forward NC Employer for its offices in Raleigh and Greensboro. The designation is awarded by the North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation.

The Christman Company has been awarded the NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s) project of the year. This recognition is for the Western Carolina University Energy Production Facility located in Cullowhee, NC.

The project stands out for its successful management of significant geographical and supply chain challenges. The team mitigated 17 sinkholes, managed 45,000 tons of excavated rock and navigated supply chain disruptions with adaptable strategies to ensure project continuity.

Carol Frederick, a recently retired cost estimator, has been honored with the prestigious Iris Award by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Tennessee. Frederick received recognition at the Build Knoxville Awards on Jan. 25, celebrating her exemplary career and contributions to the construction industry, particularly in championing the role of women.

Overall rankings were calculated according to 2022 construction revenue.

Brian Crissman has been named The Christman Company’s vice president of healthcare services, dedicated to leading and expanding the vital market segment which accounts for approximately 30 percent of Christman’s revenue.
