Project Planning

The greatest opportunities to affect project outcomes occur early in the design process. We are dedicated to supporting the client and architect/engineer during the design process with the broad expertise of our project planning group by working together in a collaborative, team-based approach. By emphasizing the true cost of ownership of a facility over its life, we commit resources and tools that include value analysis, life cycle costing, owning and operating cost modeling, phase specific constructability and maintainability reviews, and many other services by Christman resource experts. This provides the project team with the maximum opportunity for informed and deliberate decision making during the design process.

The Christman difference is to maximize value and outcomes for the client through early sharing and analysis of project information.

Our Project Planning Group is a uniquely qualified team of 37 full-time value specialists, cost estimators, scheduling specialists, and other experts who thrive on the challenge of adding maximum value to every project. Each member of this team is a seasoned construction professional with a balanced background of relevant experience and one or more core competencies in specialized planning areas. Our list of customized certification and accreditation includes LEED Accredited Professionals (APs), Associate Value Specialist (AVS) staff, Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) staff, MEP coordination, AIA accredited staff, licensed civil engineers, and many others.

Through a holistic, “whole building” design and construction approach, members of the Project Planning Group work in close collaboration with the entire project team—including the client, the architect, the construction staff, engineers, trade contractors, and consultants—to ensure a continuity of plan to execution as we partner to find the solutions which deliver the most for our client’s budget.
