Rentenbach Constructors Undergoes Name Change to Christman

Lansing, Mich - The Christman Company (Christman), a national construction and real estate development firm with offices throughout the southeast, southwest, midwest, and mid-Atlantic, announced today the official name change of its Rentenbach Constructors Incorporated (Rentenbach) division to The Christman Company. Christman acquired Rentenbach in a merger of the two privately-held firms in December, 2013. The company’s Knoxville, TN and Greensboro, NC offices have continued operating under the Rentenbach name since that time, but will now move forward under the Christman brand.

“The respected Rentenbach name has symbolized building with integrity throughout the south and beyond for over 70 years, and that dedication to our craft is something that will never change,” said Steve Roznowski, president and CEO of Christman. “After becoming a member of the Christman family of companies nearly four years ago, it’s simply time for our Tennessee and North Carolina-based offices to officially become ‘one’ with the Christman name as well, as we work toward our driving purpose of ‘Uniting Great People in Great Achievement.’ ”

No other aspects of the company, including management structure, staff, administration, or services are changing. Current contracts and subcontracts are unaffected by the name change.

“Since only the name is changing, we trust that our customers and other partners will continue to count on us for long-term local relationships, innovative professional services and – above all – quality construction,” said Roznowski. “We are proud to be an employee-owned company of nearly 400 construction professionals, ranked at #122 in the Engineering News-Record ENR 400 top contractors nationally, with $800 million in annual construction revenue and nearly 125 years of construction experience. We believe these strengths translate to the best construction outcomes possible for our clients.”

Christman will remain headquartered in Lansing, Michigan with plans for continued growth and expansion in the southeast U.S. and beyond from the company’s eight full-service offices located in Knoxville, TN; Greensboro, NC; Augusta, GA; D.C. Metro/Sterling, VA; Detroit, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Lansing, MI; and Dallas/Ft. Worth (Grapevine), TX.
