Deep experience building healthcare in North Carolina

We’ve been building in North Carolina for more than 50 years and with that comes vast experience and deep relationships throughout the state. We have multiple healthcare projects underway and recently completed.

Kernersville Medical Center – Novant Health

This 56,000 square-foot expansion supported uninterrupted care while enhancing services with a new ICU, birthing center, heart and vascular lab, and emergency department addition, plus vital infrastructure upgrades to meet the needs of a growing community.

High Point Medical Center OR and Cardiology – Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist

This phased renovation added endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and cardiology spaces—including EP and catheterization labs, plus critical infrastructure upgrades. Close coordination with hospital staff ensured continuous, safe operations throughout construction in this active healthcare environment.

Scotland Memorial OR Renovation

This new building complements the aesthetic of the other buildings on the pastoral Cherokee Farm campus while also sharing iconic details, such as the three-story oval rotunda, with the nearby UT Medical Center. The selection of a neutral brick color respects the surrounding natural environment, while metal accents and glass add contemporary elements to the design.

Nash Patient Tower – UNC Health

UNC Health Nash’s new seven-story inpatient tower will add 150 private patient rooms with full bathrooms, connecting seamlessly to the existing South Tower and Surgical Pavilion. The 18- to 24-month project includes site work, vertical construction, and circulation upgrades, carefully phased to maintain hospital operations and improve long-term care delivery.

*Ongoing: Estimated completion date of August 2027

Find cost certainty with our in-house services

We put the priorities of our healthcare partners first and provide added value in the form of our in-house services.

Project planning

Being more accurate at the front of the design allows for more scope in the program. When others are returning savings at the end of the project, we make sure those funds are utilized at the beginning of design. Our more than 30 project planners help give you the most scope and maximize your budget.

MEP estimators

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing are often a large portion of the project’s value. With a full team of in-house MEP estimators, we can conceptualize the MEP design in the schematic design phase of the documents to get a more accurate early estimate of the cost. No going back to your constituents for more funding or scaling back due to ballooning cost.

Building Information Modeling

Our Virtual Design and Construction team brings vast experience as a leader in the planning and construction process on projects across all market sectors. With a combined 100 years of experience between team members, they’ll utilize the latest technology to expertly plan your project from beginning to end.

From beginning to end, we’re YOUR partner

We pride ourselves on the partnership approach we establish on every project. We know that working collaboratively and creating a “one team” environment throughout the project with every member of the team – owner, designer, trade contractors and other stakeholders – consistently leads to highly successful project outcomes. For us, a one-team approach is not unique, it is the only way we execute projects. Our priority is to enable success for all team members and consistently inspire high performance and shared success. Our team works to ensure that every team member understands the shared goals and their role in achieving them.
