Zeeland Hospital Surgical Expansion

Recognizing healthcare organizations must continually invest and innovate to remain leaders in the medical industry, the Community Board of Directors thoughtfully evaluated, planned and executed a forward‑looking solution to ensure that Corewell Health (then Spectrum Health) Zeeland Community Hospital remains equipped to serve our community today and for generations to come.
This project represents the fulfillment of the board’s long‑term vision to expand and enhance the hospital facility. Improvements included the addition of a dedicated cesarean section suite, extensive refurbishments to the surgery unit and main lobby, increased storage capacity and the creation of a private surgical waiting area for families. Each enhancement was designed with patient comfort, experience and safety as the highest priorities.
