Scotland Memorial Hospital
This project was driven by the need to modernize critical surgical and diagnostic services while improving patient access and experience—without interrupting care. The client sought a partner capable of working within an active hospital environment, where safety, coordination, and continuity of operations were essential. Through careful planning and execution, the renovation enhanced clinical capabilities, improved circulation and wayfinding, and delivered meaningful upgrades that support long‑term patient care and operational growth. The scope included construction of a new state‑of‑the‑art operating room suite and sterile processing department, along with expanded and renovated imaging spaces to support MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and mammography. A reconfigured main entrance created a clearer “front door,” improving outpatient flow and accessibility. To maintain uninterrupted hospital operations, construction was strategically phased and sequenced, with off‑hours work, fire‑rated partitions, and weather‑sealed barriers separating construction from occupied areas. Additional complexity came from coordinating separately contracted systems, including security, telecommunications, signage, and medical equipment. The result is a transformed facility that supports high‑quality care, enhances patient experience, and strengthens the hospital’s ability to serve its community well into the future.
