Michigan State University
The Christman Company built the Breslin Center, home to the Michigan State Spartans, in 1989. Managing the construction of this massive student events center was a complex process. Christman provided complete value analysis, estimating, scheduling and record keeping of all decisions made. This allowed the team to determine the most cost-effective design and adapt as needed to produce a world-class Big 10 athletic facility. In 2007, Christman renovated the men’s and women’s locker rooms, lounges, and coach’s locker rooms. Each locker room now contains custom wood lockers for each player and a fiberglass dome ceiling complete with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. The center of the men’s locker room’s terrazzo designed floor is embedded with a brass championship plaque. The lounges each have a custom wood ceiling and multiple TV monitors that can be viewed as one screen or individual screens.
