Momentum continues to build at the Collin County Public Health Buildings project in McKinney, Texas, where each week brings visible transformation. From structural completion to interior buildout, our teams and trade partners are advancing with precision and purpose.
The recent topping out event marked a major milestone in this ambitious capital improvement initiative, celebrating the completion of the building’s highest structural point and the collaborative spirit that made it possible.
This project is a powerful example of what happens when great people unite in great achievement. We are deeply grateful to our phenomenal trade partners whose dedication and expertise have driven progress at every stage. Their work is helping Collin County expand its public health services through a comprehensive development plan.
The project includes the construction of a four-story, 90,000-square-foot steel-framed County Healthcare facility, with half of the space shelled for future expansion. A new 20,000-square-foot Medical Examiner’s building is also underway, along with a two-and-a-half-level, 485-space cast-in-place parking garage and extensive site work. These facilities are part of a broader strategy to enhance county infrastructure through new construction and site development within a mixed-use environment.
The relocation and expansion of the county’s healthcare and medical examiner services are also key priorities. These new buildings will bring essential health departments onto the main campus, creating a centralized hub for public health and safety services. Funded in part by $201 million in federal pandemic relief funds allocated for public health initiatives, the project reflects Collin County’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access, strengthening community services, and preparing for long-term growth.
As we move into the next phase of construction, we remain energized by the purpose behind this work. The Collin County Public Health Buildings will not only meet today’s needs but also stand as a lasting investment in the health, safety, and resilience of our region.
