The Christman Company proudly marked a major milestone in the transformation of Tennessee Tech University’s Tucker Stadium West with a topping out ceremony that brought together project partners, university leadership, and skilled tradespeople. This time-honored tradition signifies the placement of the final steel beam, a symbolic step toward completing a facility that will serve generations of Golden Eagles.

Representatives from TTU, including President Dr. Phil Oldham and Athletic Director Casey Fox, joined Christman’s project team to celebrate progress and share their vision for the stadium’s future. Attendees signed a commemorative beam —a gesture that reflects the unity and shared purpose driving this project forward.

“This project is about more than steel and concrete,” said Nick Lawrence, Vice President at The Christman Company. “It’s about creating a space that elevates the student-athlete and fan experience and strengthens the TTU community for decades to come.”

The ceremony also highlighted the expertise and dedication of the construction team. From overcoming weather-related delays to coordinating complex steel erection and concrete pours, Christman’s professionals have worked tirelessly to keep the project on track for its immovable completion deadline.

As the beam was hoisted into place, the moment served as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when great people unite in great achievement—a principle that defines Christman’s approach to every project.
