Ludington Area Schools

Bond Program

Informed by strategic planning, thorough facilities assessments, and community input, this project consolidated four lower elementary and pre-kindergarten buildings onto one campus with shared resources, enhancing operational efficiencies. The bond also included significant renovations to the high school and middle school, along with improvements to transportation and security measures.

The central focus of these projects was to revive aging facilities with infrastructure beyond its useful life, with an emphasis on safe, modern environments for both students and staff. This involved the implementation of secure entrances, age-appropriate classrooms, and learning spaces equipped with integrated technology and flexible furniture. The improvements extended to enhanced traffic flow, energy-efficient building features, and ADA accessibility, contributing to an overall upgraded educational landscape.

Christman played a pivotal role beginning in the early stages of the project, conducting comprehensive facilities assessments and helping the district shape the scope, budget and schedule. This collaborative partnership involved value analysis workshops and meticulous coordination between the design team and estimators, ensuring the project scope aligned seamlessly with the district's vision while remaining within budget constraints.
