Christman Constructors, Inc. today announced a strategic self-perform leadership transition, introducing new leaders as part of a planned succession, while honoring two industry veterans.
Andrew Holman has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) and Joseph Leone will continue in his leadership role with the Christman Building Innovation Group (CBIG), ensuring continuity and focus on innovation-driven initiatives.
These appointments follow the planned retirements of two respected leaders whose contributions have shaped the enterprise and the construction industry: Jim Like, President of CCI, and Doug Peters, President of CBIG.
Holman will oversee CCI’s day-to-day operations and strategy across its offices and project sites, with a focus on operational excellence, innovation and talent development. He has served as a Vice President at CCI, bringing deep project delivery expertise and a strong record of partnering with clients and trade teams to drive results.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity to lead CCI and energized by what’s ahead,” Holman said. “Our commitment is simple yet strong: deliver exceptional craftsmanship safely, invest in our people, and be the most sought-after partner in the markets we serve.”
Tyler Mance, Vice President, Interiors, will continue to play a key role on the leadership team, ensuring CCI’s operational strength and supporting the company’s commitment to delivering quality, safety, and value on every project. His expertise in operations and dedication to people development remain central to CCI’s success.
Steve Roznowski, CEO of holding company Christman Enterprises, praised both retiring leaders. “Doug’s vision shaped Christman’s self-perform operations into a vital part of our enterprise, while Jim built lasting relationships, strengthened labor partnerships and expanded our capabilities across multiple disciplines,” said Roznowski. “We are deeply grateful for their decades of leadership and the impact they’ve had on Christman and our industry. As we look ahead, we’re confident in the next chapter, with Andrew stepping into a key leadership role at CCI to help carry this momentum forward.”
Jim Like joined Christman Constructors in 2012 and became president in 2021. He retires with more than 40 years of experience in the industry.
Reflecting on his tenure, Jim Like said, “It has been the honor of my career to serve our people and our clients. CCI’s strength has always come from our field teams, craft professionals and leaders who do extraordinary work every day. I’m excited to see Andrew lead CCI forward with the same dedication to our clients, partners and communities.”
Doug Peters spent more than 20 years with Christman. He served as president of Christman Constructors for five years before assuming the role of president of Christman Building Innovation Group in 2021.
“It has been an incredible honor to spend my career in this industry and at Christman,” said Peters. “What I value most are the people, the colleagues, clients, and partners who share a passion for building with purpose. Together, we’ve advanced innovation in construction and strengthened Christman’s self-perform capabilities. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and confident in the leadership of our team to carry the vision forward.”
With offices in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing and Livonia, Michigan, CCI specializes in carpentry and general trades; concrete; earthwork and site utilities; demolition and restoration; fireproofing; mass timber; metal studs, drywall and acoustical; service; general contracting; and historic preservation.
CBIG was created to initiate, champion and drive innovation and excellence across Christman’s multiple self-perform entities. This group of construction, estimating, safety and marketing professionals drives better service, cost efficiencies, safety solutions, technology advances and innovative practices for Christman’s self-perform operations nationally.
