Donald V. Staley, LEED AP, former Safety Manager, has been promoted to Vice President / Safety Director. Most recently, he has served as the primary force behind Christman’s award-winning safety program, acknowledged as exemplary in the industry under Staley’s leadership by customers, regulatory agencies, insurers, and the trade contractor community. Staley was appointed by Governor Granholm in 2005 to Michigan’s Construction Safety Standards Commission where he served six years and was charged with helping develop, examine and improve safety standards for Michigan’s construction industry. In 2014, he was appointed by Governor Snyder to the Michigan Construction Code Commission, where he is representing industrial management and serving the remainder of a four-year term expiring January 31, 2015. Staley is an alumnus of Michigan Technological University and has been with Christman for 18 years.

Anthony M. Bango, AVS, LEED AP, former Director of Project Planning, has been promoted to Vice President, Project Planning. Bango recently joined Christman from another national construction firm, bringing with him over three decades of experience. A nationally recognized leader in value analysis, Bango’s specialties include integrated project planning, budget development, project benchmarking, and value management. His affiliate organizations include SAVE International (the society for value methodology) through which he is accredited as an Associate Value Specialist and for whom he served on the board of directors of the greater Michigan chapter. Bango is an alumnus of Michigan State University and University of Michigan.

Douglas J. Peters, P.E., former Vice President of Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) – Christman’s self-perform affiliate – has been promoted to Executive Vice President of CCI. Bringing 22 years of construction experience (13 with Christman), Peters oversees all operations for CCI, providing general direction for all of the projects performed, including overall safety leadership, blending his extensive technical expertise as a licensed professional engineer with a strong management background. Peters is an expert in concrete construction with a specialty in mass concrete and is a member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors Safety and Risk Management Council and is an Associate Member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 207¾Mass Concrete and ACI Committee 347¾Formwork. Peters also served four years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a commissioned officer. He is an alumnus of Michigan State University and Northwestern University.

Charles C. Mabe, former Chief Estimator for Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) has been promoted to Vice President for Rentenbach Constructors Incorporated. Mabe joined Christman Constructors in 2000, where his strong technical background and project management experience blended with a keen attention to detail have contributed significantly to the continued growth of the organization. Mabe is now joining Rentenbach Constructors Incorporated, a Christman affiliate, where he will lead conceptual and hard-dollar estimating from its Knoxville, TN office.  A 20-year construction industry veteran, Mabe is an alumnus of Ferris State University.
