Tendercare Health Center is a long-term care facility that was greatly needed in the Leelanau Peninsula area. As the only facility of its kind in the area, the construction of this building is very important to the local community. The single-story building is of a wood frame design and houses 72 beds. The facility features a stone fireplace at the main entry to greet visitors as they arrive, a full-service kitchen and a heated attic.

With less than a year to complete this project, The Christman Company divided the project into six different big packages in order to achieve a very fast-paced schedule.

After the bid phase of the project, Christman’s project planning group was able to offer over $100,000 in budget savings to the client – all while retaining the original level of quality. As the project progressed, the team continued to offer value management ideas for a highly successful project outcome.
