The Christman Company has announced the recent promotion of Douglas J. Peters, former Executive Vice President of Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) - Christman's self-perform affiliate - to President of CCI. "Doug has increasingly played a crucial and significant role in CCI's continued growth and success," said Christman CEO Steve Roznowski. "His technical expertise, particularly in concrete construction, is nationally recognized and sought after across the industry, his dedication and commitment to excellence are second to none, and his ‘Team First' leadership style delivers a level of collaboration that ensures success for all."

Bringing 24 years of construction experience (15 with Christman), Peters oversees all operations for CCI, providing general direction for all of the projects performed, including overall safety leadership, blending his extensive technical expertise as a licensed professional engineer with a strong management background. Peters is an expert in concrete construction with a specialty in mass concrete and is a member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors Safety and Risk Management Council and is an Associate Member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 207 - Mass Concrete and ACI Committee 347 - Formwork. Peters also served four years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a commissioned officer. He is an alumnus of both Michigan State University and Northwestern University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan and Virginia.

In his new role, Peters replaces outgoing CCI president Mike Kettlewell, who will continue to serve Christman in an advisory capacity in the role of Executive Vice President for parent company Christman Enterprises, Inc. as well as on Christman's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
